‘Monochrome’ is the second release from New North, a new concert series for exploratory music based in Narrm/Melbourne. It documents three beautiful performance recorded in August and November 2021 which were originally released as an online concert.

Tracks

Shoshana Rosenberg - An improvised piece for bass clarinet focusing on their experiences throughout this year: confusion becoming fear becoming rejuvenation becoming exaltation. They dedicate this piece to their love Queenie Star and to the everlasting forces that guide and nurture them.

Theo Carbo & Niran Dasika - Delays and repetition on micro and macro scales. The duo experimented with interconnected processing chains and slowly evolving forms.

Phonetic Orchestra - A new work called 'Portmanteau/jacuzzi II' that is tactile, sonically detailed and brings together members in Melbourne and Berlin and York (WA).
